Newly version of Ministry's official guidelines for schoolteaching includes a learning unit about the stratum in the science field. It's requested that students understand and learn sedimentary rocks through field observation, both of elementary school and junior high school. But as igneous rocks are widely distributed in Hiroshima Prefecture, It is not easy to go to the outdoors to see sedimentary rocks. We looked for the most suitable visiting spot, and tried to make a new field observation program of focusing on observing method of sedimentary rocks
