Painting and drawing experience in architect’s creative work

Tapybos ir architektūros sąsajų analizė išryškino piešimą kaip šių menų neabejotiną bendrumą. Atsiskleidė piešimui būdinga pirminė atvaizdavimo savybė ir architektūrai ypač svarbus kūrybos, patirčių, pažinimo ir naujų minčių generavimo erdvės pobūdis. Taigi šiame tyrime tapyba suvokiama siauresne prasme, akcentuojant piešimą; todėl straipsnyje, detaliau ištyrus XX a. ir šių dienų piešiančių, tapančių architektų įžvalgas ir patirtis, bus siekiama argumentuoti tezę, kad piešimas yra mąstymo erdvė ir savotiška architekto kūrybinė laboratorija.The investigation of painting and architecture interaction revealed the drawing as their undeniable commonality. The primary drawing feature to depict was highlighted, and also the drawing ability to be the medium for the creativity, experience, knowledge and generation of new ideas in architecture was made relevant. In this study painting is perceived narrowly, putting more emphasis on the drawing. The aim of this paper is to argue the statement that drawing is the place of contemplation and some kind of architect’s creative laboratory. The analysis is based on the ideas, opinions and insights of architects involved in drawing and painting, and this will serve as the reasoning for the statement about the importance of drawing for architecture
