Origin of the neck-rings from Hammersdorf-Mlotechno. The genesis of the image and semantics

Radiniai pagaminti Merovingų epochos laikotarpiu. Remiantis naujais istoriniais šaltiniais ir analogiškais radiniais, nagrinėjama minėtų radinių etninė priklausomybė, ornamentika, simbolika ir jų atsiradimo Baltijos jūros pakrantėje būdai.Vladimir Kulakov, a distinguished Professor of archaeology from Russia, (Kaliningrad Region), a well-known investigator into the ancient heritage of the Prussians, examines two gold neck-rings from the treasure of eastern Prussia that had been buried in the ground in Hammersdorf (currently the settlement of Młoteczno in Poland located in the vicinity of the border with Kaliningrad Region of Russia). These findings date back to the epoch of the Merovings. With the help of new sources and analogous findings, their ethnic belonging, ornamentation, possible symbolism and ways of their getting into the Baltic sea-shore are investigated
