The dissertation provides a complex analysis of the competition law and its institute’s application to the energy sector. The creation of competitive internal energy market remains the EU priority; however problems arise because of current monopolistic corporate interests. The issues related to the competition and energy law relation arise also due to the fact that Lithuania has been implementing large energy infrastructure projects as well as the implementation of the unbundling of vertically integrated utilities.
