The aim of the article is twofold: to investigate the legal terminology translation strategies suggested by contemporary researchers and then to perform comparative analysis of the translation strategies employed by the compilers of two English-Lithuanian and one English-Norwegian law dictionaries in translating the English-Welsh legal system terms”.The first part of the article deals with the characteristic features of legal terminology and the issue of equivalency in legal translation.
