Bendruomenės kūrimo gimnazijoje problemos

The article deals with the expression of sociality in the Lithuanian gymnasiums that has been considered to be topical by various social sciences over the last decade. The object of the research is the status and problems related with creation of communities in nowadays Lithuanian gymnasiums. The research was based on the analysis of literature and documents, questionnaire survey, observation and interview. The research included the analysis of formal gymnasiums’ documents stressing the importance of creating communities as well as directions of creating communities and problems of implementing the ideas, cooperation of pupils and pedagogues, pupils’ learning together, learning from each other and teaching each other, joint projects of a few pupils or of a group and other similar aspects of the educational process of the gymnasiums. Assessments of the conditions for good mutual relations between pupils and pedagogues are similar. In the opinion of both respondents’ groups, especially important factors of the educational process include the way of cooperation between pupils and pedagogues, quality of provided knowledge, pupils’ knowledge and their character qualities. Microclimate in gymnasiums is unstably positive, though there are schools where the microclimate is almost critical. The pupils’ answers show that they are ready to live alongside “different” people who possess different social qualities (in this case - contemporaries). Pupils appreciate personal qualities (intelligence, friendliness), whereas other onenesses (for example, nationality) do not seem to be that important.
