The native language development constantly changes, it is expanded by didactic rules' stresses: didactic native language development rules give presumption to adjust the content of teaching. The content of the teaching Lithuanian language in the year 11-12 is based on the most important rules: communication, integration, systematic and intuition as well as consciousness, and is oriented to the most important development aim - teaching of text understanding, creation and interpretation. New methods of language and literature development proposed in the teaching process encourage to take into account the development of students' intellectual development. Methods of language and literature training depend on students' intellectual features, and not only on the aim, topic and contents, students' age and abilities, personality of a teacher. The properly chosen method could be one of the method rules and content's tuning conditions. A type of an intellect of a student is related to the development of intellectual competence and didactic rules: linguistic and logic-mathematical intellects are the most important when teaching language systematically, but encourages to develop intellectual variety during the Lithuanian language lessons: students, with different intellect types, have to be given possibilities to apply their abilities
