Мезолитическая кудлаевская культура в Литве

The article analyzes the Mesolithic Kudlajevka culture in Lithuania and gets the reader familiarized with the problems of its studies. The emergence of a peculiar community of the Mesolithic Kudlajevka culture on the territory of Lithuania is evidenced by the eighteen settlements of the Kudlajevka culture and nineteen individual finding places of the microlits of the Kudlajevka – Stavinoga type, discovered in the regions of the Southern and Central Lithuania. The chronology of the settlements of the culture of Kudlajevka is studied in Lithuania significantly better than in the neighbouring lands. The chronology is based by three data units, i. e. the typological – technological comparison, stratigraphical studies and natural studies’ C-14 and palynological dates. In the Southern and Central Lithuania the culture was alive in the middle – the second half of the pre-Borealis and in the beginning – the first half of Borealis. The culture of Kunda, which was shaping in the first half of the pre-Borealis in the catchment of the Neman was significantly influenced by the culture of Kudlajevka, under the influence of which the culture of Kunda quickly learned the blade technique. Due to the lack of data, at present it is still impossible to explain the fate of the communities of the culture of Kudlajevka in Lithuania
