Žmogaus intelektualinės savybės lietuvių ir vokiečių kalbų lyginamuosiuose frazeologizmuose

The object of study in the article is the comparative phraseological units in the Lithuanian and German languages, expressing spiritual traits of a person. Twenty-one microsemantic fields are distinguished, reflecting positive and negative intellectual qualities of a person. In terms of quantity negative intellectual traits prevail. The paradigm and syntagmatic relations within the said macrosemantic field are examined, connotation semes and stylistic levels are mentioned. The article describes such phraseological phenomena as phraseological poems, phraseological synonyms and antonyms, the onomasiological subjects of phraseological comparison are examined. The article is full of examples and statistical data. The semantic macrofield of intellectual traits of a person in question characterizes with a small quantity preponderance of Lithuanian comparative phraseological units
