The article describes several cases of Lithuanian word construction that, in comparison with other languages (Polish, Russian, Latvian, German), reveal its peculiarity. In Lithuanian language verbs with suffixes -auti; (-auja, -avo),-uriuoti (-uriuoja, -uriavo) are very popular. In the above said languages equivalents are difficult to be found. In Lithuanian language adjectives with a suffix ingas are quite strictly separated in meaning from adjectives with suffixes -uotas, -otas, -ėtas and -ytas. In other languages such a strict difference is not made
