My position on the radicalism in art is based on the assumption that the concept of modern art (and especially its postmodern mutation) is shaped by two tendencies derived from the late 18th century together with the birth of bourgeoisie. The first tendency is liberalism (and especially its market economy of individualism), the second one is fascism (the mass psychology and propaganda). The symbiosis of the two tendencies gave birth to what we call "serious culture" and its integral part - the art. While we continue to celebrate the art, it is hopeless to expect and even to talk about suppression of capitalism (the fetishism and consumption of human faculties and personal qualities) and fascism (the aesthetisation of social relations thus empowering the hegemony to make decisions without arguments) - the text is based on the analysis of the inter-twisted collaboration of the two tendencies throughout the last century
