The aim of this article is to clarify on the meaning of truth in the educational practice, through the clarification on how Hannah Arendt (1906-1975) accepted and criticized of the theory of truth in Martin Heidegger (1889-1976). Heidegger argues that the authentic meaning of truth (Wahrheit) is the unconcealment (Unverborgenheit). Arendt accepts this meaning of truth and applies it to her concept of ‘appearance’. But she criticizes Heidegger’s concept of Dasein’s Death (Tod) because it lacks the political character. Arendt develops the theory of truth and claims the meaning of our interacting is supported by the speech.
