Zarys problematyki komunikacji osób z niepełnosprawnościami, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dysfunkcji wzroku i słuchu

There are few works which deals with problem of communication of people with disabilities. In Poland there are mainly pedagogical and psychological publications. In few last decades theory of communication as well as disability studies provided us some new approaches to defining disability and communication. Some theories can be used to show how disability can affect the communication and vice versa. It is obvious that some impairments affect on communication process. People with disabilities as anyone else must communicate with others to be the part of the society. This applies to such areas as education, social life, personal interactions and so on. This short introduction to this problematic shows that sight and hearing dysfunctions makes communication process different than in normal situation when health people communicate with each other. Some communication theories can show the problems that people with disabilities can experience when they participate in communicating society. Also so called disability studies can add some new ideas to the communication theories, because as this article shows there are many factor that can influence communication
