The Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) is used above all in the manufacturing systems, for repetitive task such as internal and external transport of materials; through its implementation the damages in materials and risk to operators are reduced, also increases the operation efficiency. This document is focused on the development of a control architecture that allows the integration of an AGV, to transport pieces from a storage center to workstations, within a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS). To do so, a transport algorithm is used to establish the shortest route, seeking to minimize downtimes and transportation of the vehicle.
