In this article, I investigate how scholars differ in outlook for family-school partnerships referring the discussion in U.S. and U.K. After overviewing the theory of family-school partnerships, its criticisms are considered in 3 categories. The first indicates the flaw in program evaluations, the second is from the viewpoint of class difference, and the third is characterized by the term such as conflict, control and power. Based upon these consideration, I assert the necessity of investigating family-school relationships from micro-political perspective
