From 1950s to 1960s in Japan, Kokumin-kyoiku-ron had been the main theory on education. Under the half-rule of the United States, Japanese scholars had resisted against the United States and Japanese government in pursuit of peace and independence of Japanese nation. This paper is a trial study that intends to clarify how the view of Nation in Kokumin-kyoiku -ron was told and recognized. The emphases will be placed on next three issues. The first is about Senroku Uehara who was the leader of the theory. The second is about Seiichi Miyahara who was the pioneer of informal education or adult education.
