The purpose of this article is to attempt to describe about the self-images of persons with acquired disability (PAD). The KJ method was used for the analysis of the verbal expressions of PAD about their disabilities and self-images after acquiring disabilities. The result by the KJ method revealed four categories of the self-images of PAD. This article suggests that four categories have interaction with each other and the relationships among them are important for the adaptation of PAD. Therefore, I hope that this result will be used in the field of rehabilitation. And the continuous study will be required in response to feedback in the above field
