The purpose of this study is to see the changing process of how parents feel about the expectations and concerns towards schooling. 16 parents were interviewed before and after their child entering school and categorized whether their feelings were more inclined towards expectations or concerns. The result shows that: (1) parents who felt concerns before their child entering school, such as peer relationships, self-assertion, environmental adaptation, or teachers, and these are also tend to show their expectations; (2) parents with daughters were able to cope better with their expectations better than parents who had boys; (3) parents of two or more children showed fears regarding self-assertion of their younger children.
