Stigma is considered as the main obstacle for the recovery of people with mental illnesses (MI). The current research was aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the Scale of Community Attitudes towards Mental Ill (CAMI) that assesses the stigma of the public towards people with MI. Two convenience samples were taken. The first sample was composed by 399 people and the second one, by 350. Outcomes indicate that the final instrument has two factors: “Acceptance” and “Rejection to the implementation of mental health centers in the community”. Each factor is composed of five items.
