最近超音波横波を用いて光弾性法における応力測定と全く類似の原理による応力測定が注目されており,この方法をacoustoelasticity, sonoelasticityと呼んでいる.この方法は音波が伝播するような媒質ならば金属,非金属に限らず適用することができ,被測定物の応力を直接測定することが可能である.しかし,いまだ研究の緒についた段階であり,応力を測定する確実な方法が確立されていない.この分野における測定方法,問題点,これからの見通しについて解説を行なった
