Trabalho de conclusão de curso (graduação)—Universidade de Brasília, 2017.A doença celíaca (DC) é um processo imunomediado e crônico que afeta a mucosa do intestino delgado quando entra em contato com o glúten e outras proteínas do trigo. Apesar das reações gastrointestinais características da DC, nem sempre pacientes que desenvolvem intolerância ao glúten apresentam sintomatologia, fator que pode retardar o diagnóstico da doença. Nesses casos assintomáticos, outros sinais podem indicar a hipótese diagnóstica.
