The HIV infection/AIDS is one of the emerging infectious diseases and has been spreading worldwide. The introduction of Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy(HAART) dramatically improves the prognosis of AIDS patients and an understanding of viral and T cell dynamics led to the aim of HAART to reduce virus load to below assay detection. But in Japan, the number of cases with HIV infection is increasing and the Ministry of Welfare is organizing the medical care system throughout the Japan. Niigata University Hospital is selected as a center hospital for HIV infection of Kanto-Kosinetsu region and is making efforts to prepare as a center hospital
