Measures and the Current Situation of the Aging Society in China

In China, the proportion of the elderly population over 60 years-old is more than 10% in 2000, and the Chinese have become an aging society. However, there are several problems of this aging society, for example, rapid aging speed, becoming old before rich, and different welfare situation in different provinces. Progress carried out by the Chinese government has done much to solve such problems Due to the increase of the elderly population, the related burdens also raises, such as the economic situation of the elderly, and the health and medical care of the elderly population. In this study, I present the current status of the elderly, their life problems and the related services applied from the government based on in the rapid aging situation
