The slope deformations represent the most dangerous geodynamic phenomenon on the territory of Slovakia. Present regional investigation has documented about 13,000 different areas of slope deformations since 1962, when landslides inventory has started and cover an area of about 1619 km^2. Their extent mostly depends on the geological structure and on the geomorphological and climatic conditions. The most affected areas are that formed by flysh complex, intermountain basins and young volcanic mountain ranges
