Primary intracranial germ cell tumors, malignant lymphomas, and medulloblastomas have been proved to be very sensitive to chemotherapy (cisplatin-or carboplatin-containing regimens). Recently we tried the high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous bone marrow transplantation and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation for two patients with relapsed primary brain tumors. It was consequently suggested that the high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous blood stem cell transplantation was very useful and safe
