The purpose of this paper is to survey the regional distribution of doctors and medical facilities in Niigata prefecture. I found that we are not able to judge about the differences of the regional distribution of doctors and medical facilities in Niigata prefecture. Furthermore, I found that the differences of the number of doctors between urban regions and rural areas in Niigata prefecture increased, while on the other hand, the difference of the number of the medical facilities reduced
