Learning ability = intelligence? Empirical study of the correlation of both concepts

Ausgehend von der Tatsache, dass in der Literatur unweigerlich mit dem Begriff Lernfä-higkeit auch immer der Begriff der Intelligenz verbunden wird und der Annahme, dass diese beiden Konstrukte in irgendeiner Weise zusammenhängen oder gar identisch sind, wird in dem folgenden Beitrag überprüft, ob ein solcher Zusammenhang wirklich besteht. Aus diesem Grund wurden zwei Intelligenztests (IST 70 und CFT 3 und ein Lernfähig-keitstest (Multidimensionales Lernprofil) durchgeführt und auf einen Zusammenhang hin überprüft. Das wesentliche Ergebnis der Untersuchung zeigt, dass kein Zusammenhang zwischen den beiden Konzepten, so wie sie hier gemessen wurden, besteht.The concept of learning ability in literature is always linked with the concept of intelligence and it is assumed that these two constructs are connected in any manner or are even identical. In the following study is tested whether a correlation exists. For this reason, two intelligence tests (IST 70 and CFT 3) and a learning ability test (the multidimensional learning profile) were used and tested for a correlation. The essential result of the study shows that there is no correlation between the two con-cepts as they were measured here
