This thesis treats the problem of unstructured Intranets and how this could be solved. Traditionally this is done by the use of the hierarchical model of the organisation but this has been proved not a good solution. This led us to the problem statement: Which guidelines for the process of structuring information on an Intranet can be found? The investigation is based upon three major areas within system design namely: collecting information, creating ideas and finally help to create order and meaning in a chaotic situation.
