Förenklad och rikare interaktion med hjälp av Facebook : En kvalitativ studie om pedagogers och föräldrars uppfattningar om användandet av Facebook som samverkansform i förskolan

The purpose of our study is to understand how teachers and parents relate to parental interaction and the use of Facebook as a form of cooperation in preschool. We also discuss and problematize what significance the use of a social network site may have for the teacher role.This is a qualitative study based on interviews with teachers and parents at a preschool who use Facebook. The Facebookgroup has also been observed, to get insight on how it is used on daily operations. The results show that teachers as well as parents are positive about the use of Facebook in preschool. They see many advantages in this form of cooperation, including the major insights parents get into the occupation and childrens daily life in preschool. Moreover both educators and parents experience that communication between them has become richer and that the dialogue between the children and the parents have been developed as well. The result also shows points out the challenges that follow in the wake of social media activities in a pre-school context, mainly this form of cooperation, mainly regarding children's privacy. Our conclusion is that social media use may serve as a complement to other forms of cooperation in preschool, but it is important to be aware of the technical and ethical dilemmas that may occur.Validerat; 20160503 (global_studentproject_submitter
