Add to ORKGThe expert role is often an important component in televised news reports. Experts contributes with comments, facts and analysis that will help viewers understand the news and its context. SVT has been broadcasting news since 1958 and has previously been criticized for a skewed gender representation. In this essay, 29 news broadcasts from SVT’s news program ”Rapport” have been analyzed. The result have concluded that male experts, in accordance with previous research, dominated the news broadcasts.
