This paper is handling investment options for small scale hydropower. The work has been done at Skellefteå Kraft AB plants. The company´s small scale facilities have been worked through and appropriate ones has been selected for reinvestment options with appropriate technologies for each one. These technologies have then been considered if they could be used at a large scale hydropower dam. The small scale plants that have been studied is located at Rickleå river and Åman river. In the both of them there is two plants that is treated in this paper, Fredrikfors and Sågfors in Rickeå river, and upper Åman and lower Åman in Åman river.
