Gästupplevelser på flygplatser : En studie om att skapa upplevelseområden i flygplatsmiljöer

The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis in Experience production is to study airports that work as experience-areas, instead of just waiting lounges. The aim is also to present some ideas that airports can use to develop their attractiveness towards passengers. I conducted an environmental scan and a litterature study that collected different aspects to consider while producing experiences. The conclusions presented the following aspects to consider: emotions, time, the city brand, passenger flows and passenger types. The environmental scan mentiones the different types of commercial experiences that the following airports have: Singapore Changi (SIN), Amsterdam Schipol (AMS) and Seoul Inceon (ICN). To conclude, the paper brings up four points to consider when creating an experience-area at a developing airport.
