Evaluation of a proposal for a treatment system for industrial wastewater generated in a flavoring company

In this project, a proposal is made for a treatment system for wastewater from the production process of artificial flavorings; For this purpose, the industrial wastewater was diagnosed, where the critical parameters were determined that do not comply with the resolution 631 of 2015 that controls the discharges to the water bodies. With the diagnosis of the physical and chemical properties, we proceeded to evaluate the treatment system proposed experimentally by means of laboratory simulation of the equipment required for the development of the treatment system, determining the operating conditions, the necessary reagents and their respective dosages for achieve the greatest removal of contaminants. Finally, the design of the treatment system was made by sizing the equipment and dosing the chemical reagents, to finally analyze the costs of investment, operation and characterization of the wastewater of the proposed alternative.En este proyecto se realiza la propuesta de un sistema de tratamiento para las aguas residuales provenientes del proceso productivo de saborizantes artificiales; para esto se realizó el diagnóstico del agua residual industrial en donde se determinaron los parámetros críticos que no dan cumplimiento a la con la resolución 631 de 2015 que controla los vertimientos a los cuerpos hídricos. Con el diagnóstico de las propiedades físico químicas se procedió a evaluar el sistema de tratamiento propuesto experimentalmente mediante la simulación a nivel laboratorio de los equipos requeridos para el desarrollo del sistema de tratamiento, determinando las condiciones de operación, los reactivos necesarios y sus respectivas dosificaciones para lograr la mayor remoción de los contaminantes. Finalmente se realizó el diseño del sistema de tratamiento mediante el dimensionamiento de los equipos y la dosificación de los reactivos químicos, para finalmente analizar los costos de inversión, operación y caracterización de las aguas residuales de la alternativa propuesta
