ANALISIS BUKU BIOLOGI SMA KELAS X DI KOTA SUKABUMI BERDASARKAN DIMENSI LITERASI SAINS

This research aims to know the rate of occurrence dimension of science literacy on 10th grade high school biology textbook in Sukabumi city. The usage of dimension of science literacy covering science as a body of knowledge, science as a way to explore, science as a way of thinking, and science interaction, technology and society. Sample of this research is 10th grade high school biology textbook in Sukabumi city. There is 3 books that had been analyzed. Methods of the research is document method or document study. Analysis result of the rate of occurrence dimension of science literacy on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sample is 42,5% (good enough), 57,37% (good) and 47,98% (good enough). From the result, it is known that science as a body of knowledge appear more than the other dimension of science literacy. Therefore it can be concluded that many 10th grade high school biology textbook in Sukabumi city had an emphasis more on science knowledge aspect, that is presenting fact, concept, principle, law, hypothesis, model and questions that asking student to remember knowledge or information
