Kebijakan Diversifikasi Perusahaan Dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan (Studi Empiris Pada Perusahaan Publik Di Indonesia Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia)

This study tries to analyze the effect of policy implementation strategy of diversification on firm performance. The population in this study are all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange the period 2008 to 2010 period. Study sample was determined using the method of purposive sampling. The number of companies that were included in the sample was 69 companies. In accordance with the formulation of the problem presented in this study, the conclusions obtained, among others, is that diversification strategies affect the performance of the company in 2008 until 2010. This is because there is an argument which assumes that the strategy would focus on core competencies is key to the company's long-term advantage, but others argue that a diversified company would likely improve the performance of the company. The results are consistent with evidence by Li and Wong (2003 in Harto, 2005)
