Indeed, Stoicism recommends not to give an excessive importance to the body, and Roman intellectuals are wary most of the time of Greek knowledge. Yet, the medical knowledge of the philosopher is undeniable, both through the use of precise technical terminology and rigorous pathological or therapeutic theories.
