International audienceThis article is a summary of our doctoral thesis. This work mainly relies on our study of gravettians levels’ lithic industry from Brassempouy andIsturitz Pyrenean caves. Then, we made a comparison with the bibliographical data of others Pyrenean sites. We also widened our comparisons with the whole French and European territory, always on the basis of lithic industry but by keeping reflexions which widely call for Art and symbolic fields. From the observation of an ostentatious value attached to some Brassempouy’s lithic points, we bring new clues in favour of a unitarian and European reading of the gravettian phenomenon previously illustrated by the female figurines.Este artículo es un resumen de nuestra tesis doctor...
