The combination of metal and plastic parts in form of hybrid components is increasingly establishing itself in the area of lightweight construction. The components are connected by an additional process step after the production of the single parts. The target is to implement a single-stage process which can be mass produced and enables reproducible properties. Plastic parts are produced industrially by injection moulding, which is why this process is ideal for implementing of an injection moulding hybrid concept. The resulting composite properties are significantly influenced by the manufacturing parameters.
