Salmonella surveillance annual summary 1978

ISSUED JANUARY 1981In 1978, 28,748 isolations of Salmonella from humans were reported to the Center for Disease Control, an increase of 1,286 isolations (4.7%) over the previous year and the greatest number of isolations reported to CDC since 1963.
