Consequently, the muds become susceptible to poor heat transfer, disintegration, gelation, pipe sticking, poor cleaning ability, and poor lubrication. The challenges in drilling operations at high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) conditions can be mitigated when rheological properties are controlled and monitored.
