The quantities and rates of solid waste generated in Abeokuta and its environs have increased over the years at an alarming rate. This could be linked to the rapid population growth, increasing industrial activities and inefficient modern technology for waste management. This study will examine the health implications of solid wastes disposal and management methods; it will also look into the factors influencing generation, types of solid waste, collection, disposal, reuse and recycling, and its health implications on the inhabitant of Abeokuta and its environs.
