2016 has been designated as a year of change in corporate governance of listed companies in Sweden. There is a possibility that a law will be introduced that will affect all listed companies, namely a law about affirmative action. If the law passes it regulates a minimum of 40 % women as board members within the listed companies. The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of sustainability and equality in corporate governance in Sweden.The study is based on a theoretical analysis model that has been developed and used throughout the study.
