The aim of this thesis is to evaluate if a mobile device application can be used as an aid in teaching drivers more fuel-efficient driving. This paper details the development and testing of such an application, which uses only data available through the On-Board Diagnostics port available in all modern vehicles in order to assess multiple aspects of user’s driving behaviour and appoint personal development goals. The application was tested for 10 days on a specified test course for evaluation.
