Por que a tecnologia importa? As possibilidades e as consequ?ncias das tecnologias nos contextos cient?fico e social

This thesis seeks to elucidate, from the perspective of the philosophy of technology, what technologies are and how they enable scientific development and yet how they imply in the creation and perpetuation of social and existential structures. The method of investigation is based mainly on post-phenomenology and material hermeneutics, so that in the first moment it is demonstrated how Don Ihde describes the technology, as much for its multistability characteristic, as in the way the technologies condition the experience based on humantechnology relations. From this conception of technological development, it is sought to understand how technologies are the foundation of scientific development in such a way that science has always been technoscience. Finally, based on the same definitions of the phenomenon of technology together with existential human experience and scientific practices, it is evaluated how technological development has produced structures of domination and control that are the very milieuof the present civilized world.Esta tese procura elucidar, sob a perspectiva da filosofia da tecnologia, o que s?o as tecnologias e como elas possibilitam o desenvolvimento cient?fico e ainda como implicam na cria??o e perpetua??o de estruturas sociais e existenciais. O m?todo de investiga??o ? pautado, sobretudo, na p?s-fenomenologia e na hermen?utica material, de modo que no primeiro momento se demonstra a forma como Don Ihde descreve a tecnologia, tanto por sua caracter?stica multiest?vel, quanto na forma como as tecnologias condicionam a experi?ncia humana com base nas rela??es humano-tecnologia. Partindo desta concep??o acerca do desenvolvimento tecnol?gico procura-se compreender como as tecnologias s?o o fundamento do desenvolvimento cient?fico de forma tal que a ci?ncia sempre foi tecnoci?ncia. Por fim, tendo como base as mesmas defini??es sobre o fen?meno da tecnologia junto ? experi?ncia existencial humana e ?s pr?ticas cient?ficas, avalia-se como o desenvolvimento tecnol?gico produziu estruturas de dom?nio e controle que s?o o pr?prio milieu do mundo civilizado atual
