This article aims to analyze the main Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) resources currently used to encourage students? reading habit from the Initial Years of the Elementary Education. The study starts from the historical evolution of reading and writing, identifying the contributions that digital technologies can bring to the development of the reading habit, since these are already part of students' daily lives.
