Maize (Zea mays L.) is widely cultivated and consumed in Brazil, as well as in other countries. This culture has great adaptability in different growing environments, so when sowing is carried out, it is preferable that fast germination occur, because the seeds are exposed to pest attack, and can accelerate the deterioration process.
