Democracia x meritocracia: influ?ncias e impactos no conhecimento escolar

This dissertation has as central theme the school knowledge analysis and its relevance as a possible enabler of the democratic nature of the education. Besides of analyze the school knowledge, as central in the curriculum, it aimed to discuss its democratic perspective. So, this work uses important authors of the field of the curriculum studies (SILVA, 2007; MOREIRA, CANDAU, 2008; PACHECO, 2013) to support the analysis. First of all, this study was developed through a bibliographic research, to then, dwell on the opinions of twenty working teachers in the Elementary School of the public schools in the city of Erechim ? Rio Grande do Sul. The survey, anonymous, was based on the research hypothesis and tried to contrast the teachers? knowledge with the bibliographic referential searched. In the face of the discussant of the teachers? writing, it was possible to realize that these professionals also defend the importance of the school knowledge being the central in the curriculum. Nonetheless, they comprehend the need of considerate the contexts and the cultures, however not reducing their practice to what is already the student knowledge. To finish the study, in the face of the demands of the Professional Master in Education of the composition of a product, it is presented questioning, arguments and possibilities to raise a continuing education of the teachers.A presente Disserta??o tem como tema central a an?lise do conhecimento escolar e sua relev?ncia como um poss?vel facilitador do car?ter democratizador da educa??o. Al?m de analisar o conhecimento escolar, como central no curr?culo, objetivou-se problematizar uma perspectiva democratizadora do mesmo. Portanto, utilizam-se importantes autores do campo dos Estudos Curriculares (SILVA, 2007; MOREIRA, CANDAU, 2008; PACHECO, 2013) para sustentar a an?lise. Primeiramente o estudo se desenvolveu a partir da pesquisa bibliogr?fica, para posteriormente, deter-se na opini?o de vinte professores atuantes no Ensino Fundamental de institui??es escolares p?blicas da cidade de Erechim ? Rio Grande do Sul. O question?rio, an?nimo, baseou-se nas hip?teses da pesquisa, buscando contrastar o conhecimento dos professores com o referencial bibliogr?fico pesquisado. Diante da argui??o das escritas docentes, pode-se perceber que estes profissionais tamb?m defendem a import?ncia do conhecimento escolar ser central nos curr?culos. N?o obstante, compreendem a necessidade de se considerar os contextos e culturas, por?m n?o reduzindo sua pr?tica a apenas aquilo que j? ? do conhecimento do alunado.
