Formas de tratamento nominal em cartas de leitores de peri?dicos de Chapec? no s?culo XX

The present work describes and analyzes the Nominal Treatment Forms (FTNs) used in A random sample of 15 letters from readers, from the municipality of Chapec?, published in the 1950s XX. Eleven of the newspaper The Voice of Chapec? and four of the newspaper O Imparcial. This sample is part of a Larger project denominated "Variation and Change in the Western Portuguese of Santa Catarina". The issues Motivate the research are: (i) Which forms of nominal treatment were used in the readers' letters ?; (Ii) What is the function of the Nominal Treatment Forms ?; (Iii) These forms contributed to the approximation or Distancing of the interlocutors? (Iv) What sociocultural factors interfere in the use of Nominal Treatment? In order to respond to these preliminary questions, we rely on the assumptions Theoretical-methodological aspects of Variationist Sociolinguistics and the theory of linguistic politeness. Thus, we started Exposing the definition and classification of the FTNs, then we present the Theory of Variation and Change Linguistics. Afterwards, we detail the theory of linguistic politeness. In this way, 140 FTNs Used, of which 28 were unencoded and 122 were consecrated. In non-coded FTNs the function was Preaching, while in the consecrated ones it was allocutionary. The unencrypted FTNs of a pejorative nature offended Their alocutores and consequently caused a distance between interlocutors. It was observed that the Of the linguistic politeness in the employment of the FTNs was little recurrent, judging by the historical Conflicts that Chapec? lived in the 1950s.O presente trabalho descreve e analisa as Formas de Tratamento Nominal (FTNs) utilizadas em uma amostra aleat?ria de 15 cartas de leitores, do munic?pio de Chapec?, publicadas na d?cada de 50 do s?culo XX. Sendo onze do jornal A voz do Chapec? e quatro do jornal O Imparcial. Esta amostra faz parte de um projeto maior denominado ?Varia??o e Mudan?a no Portugu?s do Oeste de Santa Catarina?. As quest?es que motivam a pesquisa s?o: (i) Quais Formas de Tratamento Nominais eram utilizadas nas cartas de leitores?; (ii) Qual a fun??o das Formas de Tratamento Nominal?; (iii) Estas formas contribu?am para a aproxima??o ou para o distanciamento dos interlocutores?; (iv) Quais fatores socioculturais interferem no uso das Formas de Tratamento Nominal? Para responder a estes questionamentos preliminares, valemo-nos dos pressupostos te?rico-metodol?gicos da Sociolingu?stica Variacionista e da teoria da polidez lingu?stica. Assim, iniciamos expondo a defini??o e classifica??o das FTNs, em seguida, apresentamos a Teoria da Varia??o e Mudan?a Lingu?stica. Ap?s, detalhamos a teoria da polidez lingu?stica. Desta maneira, foram identificadas 140 FTNs utilizadas, dentre elas, 28 eram n?o codificadas e 122 consagradas. Nas FTNs n?o codificadas a fun??o era predicativa, enquanto nas consagradas era alocutiva. As FTNs n?o codificadas de car?ter pejorativo ofendiam os seus alocutores e consequentemente causavam um afastamento entre interlocutores. Observou-se que o recurso da polidez lingu?stica no emprego das FTNs foi pouco recorrente, julgando-se pelo momento hist?rico de conflitos pol?ticos que Chapec? viveu na d?cada de 50
