The present work presents the theme "National Pact for Literacy in the Right Age - PNAIC", a recent educational policy promoted by the Brazilian federal system, which, in partnership with the states and municipalities, aims to teach all children up to eight Years of age and the end of the 3rd year of elementary school. The aim of the research is to understand the conceptions of literacy and literacy present in the PNAIC teacher training books. In this sense it is a qualitative and bibliographical research with analysis of official documents, laws, ordinances and decrees, and, mainly, of the training books of the literacy teachers. These materials, available on the MEC website, seek, in addition to allowing in-depth reflections on the literacy process based on literacy, to provide better conditions for the use of didactic materials distributed by the MEC and to elaborate important resources to assist the teacher in the classroom. class. It is concluded, therefore, that the notebooks emphasize the conception of literacy as a social use of reading and writing, however, there are many records that contradict this conception approaching literacy only as the obtaining of the alphabetical code, with this it is understood that the conceptions Are well defined, but the priority is toO presente trabalho apresenta o tema ?Pacto Nacional pela Alfabetiza??o na Idade Certa ? PNAIC?, uma pol?tica educacional recente, promovida pelo sistema federal brasileiro, que, em parceria com os estados e munic?pios, tem o objetivo de alfabetizar todas as crian?as at? os oito anos de idade e final do 3? ano do ensino fundamental. O objetivo da pesquisa ? compreender quais as concep??es de alfabetiza??o e letramento presentes nos cadernos de forma??o de professores do PNAIC. Nesse sentido se trata de uma pesquisa qualitativa e bibliogr?fica com an?lise de documentos oficiais, leis, portarias e decretos, e, principalmente, dos cadernos de forma??o dos professores alfabetizadores. Estes materiais, disponibilizados no site do MEC, buscam, al?m de permitir reflex?es aprofundadas sobre o processo de alfabetiza??o com base no letramento, propiciar melhores condi??es de uso de materiais did?ticos distribu?dos pelo MEC e de elabora??o de recursos importantes para auxiliar o professor em sala de aula. Conclui-se, portanto, que os cadernos enfatizam a concep??o de letramento como uso social da leitura e escrita, por?m, h? muitos registros que contradizem essa concep??o abordando apenas a alfabetiza??o como a obten??o do c?digo alfab?tico, com isso entende-se que as concep??es est?o bem delimitadas, por?m, a prioridade ? alfabetizar
