Cervical cancer is a disease with a high mortality rate in the world. One of the natural ingredients targeted is Spirulina platensis. This study aimed to determine the cytotoxic effects of ethanol and methanol extract of Spirulina platensis on HeLa cells. Extraction of Spirulina platensis was carried out using maceration method with ethanol 96% and methanol. Cytotoxic activity tests were carried out using the MTT assay method with a 500 concentration series; 250; 125; 62.5, and 31.5 µg / mL. Cytotoxic test results in the form of absorbance data are read on the ELISA reader which is then used to calculate the average percent of living cells.
